Liederabenden with Malcolm Martineau this January

Mojca Erdmann begins 2014 with three recitals in collaboration with pianist Malcolm Martineau. The sumptuous program features works by Strauss, Mozart, Schubert, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Wolfgang Rihm, and Aribert Reimann, highlighted by two works rooted in Shakespeare’s Hamlet: Strauss’s Drei Lieder der Ophelia and Rihms’s Ophelia sings.

The program is first heard on January 4 at the Opéra national du Rhin in Strasbourg, followed by the Musikverein, Graz on January 8  and the Oper Frankfurt on January 14.
